If you’re looking for something fun to do this year with your holiday parties, consider doing a s’mores bar with Plush Puffs! This time of the year we get booked to do party catering with our gourmet s’mores bars. We’ve done everything from black-tie affairs to winery events, a gallery opening, to funky little parties in Silverlake. And at every one of the places, the reaction is the same: people are blown away. And it’s so little effort.
If you want to do one of these, you have a couple of options:
-
1) If you’re in the LA area, you can hire us to come serve you s’mores! Call us at (818) 784-2931 for information on pricing and schedule.
-
2) If you’ve got a party coming up that’s being catered, have your caterer give us a call and we’ll send them exactly what they need for your party (and some free samples for them as well)
-
3) We can sell you the marshmallows in bulk packaging at a lower price than our retail packaged mallows. They come in cut sheets about two pounds each with 144 pieces. You can do that at http://www.plushpuffs.com/bulk
Actually, it’s very interesting to work a s’mores bar at a party. For one, you watch a parade of people turn eight years old in front of you - recalling camp stories and tales of youth. You have a small set of people (usually raised outside the US) who have never had a s’mores, and they’re prodded over by a friend saying “you have to have one of these”. You have a really small set who have never heard of a s’mores. They usually just toast the marshmallow and delight in that.
And then you have the marshmallow fiends. They may or may not seek you out early and confess to their love of mallows. But 45 minutes in, you have a good sense of them. They’ve returned, at least once. Usually brought new people over the second time. Will probably visit you 2-3 times more during the party. They will sample all of your flavors. And we love to see the smile on their faces when those marshmallows hit their taste buds. They make our day.

I think that I could go for some plush puffs this holiday season. I came across you through your affiliation with Kickass Cupcakes!
