Bacon, bacon, bacon

Our friend Amy at Amy’s Culinary Adventures threw “The Bacon Affair” last weekend, and we contributed a special batch of Maple Bacon Marshmallows to the event. I’m not sure if they were able to toast them up there at the dinner, but I think we’re going to have to figure out how to make more of these. Tanya Nueske, why aren’t you returning my phone calls? :-)

    Whoa..bacon marshmallows? How do you keep that from turning into a nightmare in the oven? I can’t imagine microwaving it…

    I have never heard of a gourmet marshmallow…I can’t wait to go read the rest of this site. If it can be wrapped with bacon, I’ll like it :)

    Yes, we individually toasted the sides of each marshmallow before it went out with our hand torch! we wanted the sides toasted, but didn’t want to burn the bacon! these marshmallows were amazing and one of highlights of the dinner. (the bacon vodka i made was also well received :) !!)

    I am an avid marshmallow fanatic and i found that the best way to toast them is in the toaster oven with the rack on low. you can watch them and they get perfectly golden toasty and yummy with out being burned. . i do it all the time!
