S’more of the Week: Rocky Road on a Stick

Rocky Road S'more on a Stick using Plush Puffs Gourmet Marshmallows

I love the bamboo lollipop sticks that are available at candy making stores and craft stores. For a fun treat this week, my preschooler and I stuck some Plush Puffs on these sticks and made rocky road s’mores.

  • A variety of Plush Puffs Gourmet Marshmallow flavors. We used Sydney’s Cinnamon, Toasty Coconut and Cherry Chocolate Chip
  • Milk chocolate chips
  • Chopped nuts of your choice. We had sliced almonds on hand

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. If you’re going to have enough chocolate to cover 6 marshmallows, melt about 1/3 of a small bag of chocolate chips. Melt more or less depending. BE CAREFUL melting the chocolate in the microwave. It doesn’t take long to melt them, so do it in short 20-30 bursts and stir in between. Cooking them too long will burn the chocolate. Boo.

Place the chopped nuts on a plate or flat surface. Stick a marshmallow on the end of a lollipop stick.

Dip marshmallow in the chocolate to cover it all over. Roll the chocolate covered marshmallow in the nuts to coat it. Eat it up!

Not as pretty as the cute and fancy chocolate covered marshmallows you can buy, but they taste YUMMY and they are fun to make. My daughter suggested we do this with her dad for a Fathers Day treat. Clever girl!
